Kelly opened his first business at 27 and went on to found 9 more before selling them to find his next turn on the path of life. After writing a book and starting a podcast about why craft breweries fail, he stumbled into Texas real estate. In his first 3 years he sold 173 properties in the Dallas/Houston/San Antonio triangle and realized that he was proud to call himself a land agent. That’s a lot of new friends in a short period of time and he can remember each of them. Focusing on land turned out to be a career that is both rewarding and fulfilling. Most people would say that “driving around on dirt and answering questions” isn’t really a job. And Kelly would agree. Beautiful sunsets, wide open spaces and interesting conversations with interesting people isn’t what most people think of as working. Helping buyers and sellers all over Texas has given he and his family a fulfilling lifestyle and he’s immensely proud to do it. Life at home consists of enjoying being new empty-nesters with his wife of 25 years and the freedom that comes with it. Travel, music, food/wine and the flexibility to explore life’s adventures together are just some of the rewards of the hard work Kelly puts into every real estate transaction.
